At Kara’s wedding, she made a custom guest book where each page had a print of a vintage cover from The Chicagoan magazine. It was an easy and unique way to add a little Chicago history to the reception and give guests something interesting to look at while they sign their names. So fun!

We are pretty obsessed with all things Chicago so it’s no surprise that we are loving this new design from Alexander and Company! What a classic Chicago scene! Their images are perfect for a save the date postcard or a framed poster like this one. We have a gorgeous poster hanging in the store from Kara’s wedding that we love!

This year we are the participating stationery vendor in the 11.11 Wedding giveaway and submissions are due in just a few weeks! The winning couple receives an all-inclusive wedding that will be held on November 11, 2012 at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.

Earlier this month, we got a chance to attend the Grand Opening at the Anthropologie store on Walton St. for their new wedding line, BHLDN. It was a blast!
The accessories might have been our favorite part, although we thought everything was beautiful! They have gorgeous bridesmaid dress options as well as fun rehearsal dinner/bridal shower outfits. But, of course, you don’t have to be a bride to enjoy their things. I walked away with an adorable belt that I can’t wait to wear!

I had an appointment at a nearby River North spa yesterday and I learned that the ENTIRE place will be rented out today for a Super Bowl Spa Day! One woman invited 15 of her friends to enjoy a full day of massages, waxing, nail appointments and more before going home to watch the Big Game. Talk about a fun way to spend Super Bowl Sunday!
Imagine how relaxed they’ll be by the time they get home. Who cares if someone spills buffalo sauce on the couch? Or if Madonna’s halftime show doesn’t live up to the hype? Enjoy the commercials and your freshly painted nails, ladies. We salute you!

When the bride and groom set-up their initial consultation 8 weeks before the wedding (when invitations are typically sent), it came with good reason… they found their dream venue and decided to have a short engagement (okay, very short) in order to make it happen there!
Needless to say, I was intrigued. We met bright and early the next day, and I screamed (literally) when they told me the name of this dream venue… The Ivy Room… the same place I got married over two years ago.
Moral of the story, I instantly loved them, their story and their fabulous taste in iconic venues. And in two short weeks, Magnificent Milestones, this very organized couple and Spark Stationery pulled off the most gorgeous invitation ever!
